Eucharistic Adoration Novena to be Held in Rome this Thursday, February 5th
Announcement from Rome - 2 February, 2015 (Feast of the Presentation of the Lord)
Dear Friends in Rome,
The worldwide Eucharistic adoration novena for the October 2015 Synod on the Family has been launched.
As you will see in the articles here below — published last week in the Catholic media outlets, the National Catholic Register and Aleteia — we have received the kind endorsement of Cardinal Wilfrid Napier, OFM, Archbishop of Durban, South Africa, and one of the four Council Presidents of the Synod, who has described the initiative as “one of the best preparations the Church could make for the second session of the Synod on the Family.”
Our next day of Eucharistic adoration to pray for Christian marriage and family life will be held this Thursday, 5 February (Feast of St. Agatha) at the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare here in Rome. As Thursday marks the official opening of the novena worldwide, we will be joined in prayer by faithful from all over the globe.
The Most Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for adoration at the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare from 14,00 – 18,00. The day will conclude at 18,00 with Solemn Benediction.
Please mark your calendars for this Thursday, 5 February, and spread the word of the worldwide adoration novena by visiting, liking and sharing the Society of Eucharistic Adoration’s Facebook page at:
For those studying in Rome who belong to a religious congregation or live at one of the many pontifical colleges, we encourage you to organize a time of Eucharistic Adoration on Thursday, or dedicate your daily holy hour, to pray for the intentions of the novena.
God bless you and thank you for your participation.
God bless you and thank you for your participation.
In His Eucharistic love,
Christine McCarthy
